On the April 25th, the Institute of Constitutionalism and Student Union of Law School organized the topic forum, The Resistance and Assistance for the Development of Chinese Constitutionalism with the clue of Compelling Remove Issue and Punishment Power. The main speaker was Professor Weidong Ji of CUPL.

With the order of strict consecution, the Professor analyzed the resistance and assistance formed by Citizen Movement in society for the development of Chinese constitutionalism. On the one hand, on the basis of Compelling Remove Issue and Land Problem, he emphasized the importance of land for farmers’ life and the necessity of judicial investigatory. Finally he concluded the essence of the problem is the disorder of the land ownership system; on the other hand, with clue of punishment of punishment, he tried to redirect students’ understand toward constitutionalism and emphasized the importance of criminal system and procedure
