At 7 p.m. of April 15th, the branch committee of the Communist Youth League and Student Union of Law School commonly launched the first stage of the Forum of Public Law: The Modification of State Compensation Law in the Lecture Room. Professor Huaide Ma, Biqing Jiang and Ming’an Jiang were invited in the forum.

Professor Ma talked about his view that before the modification of State Compensation Law, we must know the deficiencies of the current law. He said the defects included “equating the state compensation and the compensation from national sector mistakenly, confused between relief law and the compensation of responsibility, the simplification of administrative liability, the scope of administrative compensation is too narrow, the standard is too low and there are also some problems in the process of implement.”

    Professor Ming’an Jiang and Biqing Jiang added the situation of China’s state compensation and advocated that in order to change the negative trend, we needed to make effort and build responsible government to adapt the increasingly need of safeguard the individual right, our national situation and economic developing level.
