April 20th was the 60th day for Professor Jin Huang to be the president of China University of Political Science and Law with the bit-by-bit feelings and understanding to this university. President Huang appeared to Listening Interview organized by the branch committee of the Communist Youth League and the Student Union was opened in the auditorium of CUPL in the Changping district. In this interview, he recalled his past experience as a young student and talked about the current situation and future plan both for himself as well as CUPL. With homely language and homespun manners, Professor Huang delivered audience the impression not only a respectable President but also a modest scholar and friendly elder. Professor Gangling Xue, dean of Law School, David Liu, secretary of the branch committee of the Communist Youth League and other teachers from various sectors of Law School also came to the lecture.

President Huang said when he was a young man and pursued his study, Professor Depei Han, the foremost scholar in Chinese International Academic community, gave a crucial influence to his academic progress. President Huang also admired Professor Depei Han’s great contribution to the Law School of Wuhan University and the whole academic community. 

Over 60 days life and work in a totally new environment, President Huang tried his best to integrate himself and learned more about CUPL. From his perspective, the top-class university should have first-level scholars, students and environment. He also emphasized the great importance of humanities circumstance. Cultivated good manners and modest attitude touched every one in the site and won thunderous applause from students. We had reasons to believe that CUPL would have a more brilliant future.
