Course introduction: Constitutional Jurisprudence is a major courserequired of students majoring in law. Its 51 class hours encompass basictheories and system of the Constitution, state organizations, and basic civicrights. After the course, students are expected to be able to understand, applyand master three basics, namely, basic principles, basic concepts, and basicknowledge of the Constitution.
Teaching materials offered in this course comes from three origins, thatis, Constitution Textbook, Constitutional Laws and cases. Major teachingmethods employed include logic analysis and empirical analysis. The course aimsto training students’ Constitutional thinking, primarily awareness ofconstitutional questions, i.e., detection of constitutional questions viaobservation of phenomena, to abstract viewpoints and justify them with data. Whilelaying a foundation for other courses required of students majoring in law,this course is also a genuine required course of law majors.
The lecturers of this course has been proactively innovating teachingmethods and formed their respective characteristics. Combination of caseanalysis and in-class, and traditional and multimedia teaching has enriched itscontent and enhanced its popularity among students.
