Courseintroduction: Jurisprudence is established by the Ministry of Education as atrunk course for students majoring in law. This course offers a systematicelaboration of basic concepts, origin and development, historical types, value,function, and implementation of law, modernization of legal system and rule ofstate by law, legislation, legal interpretation and legal reasoning. Inaddition, relationships between law and economics, law and politics, law andmorality, and theory and practice of constructing socialist democracy andrule-of-law are also treated. It aims at inculcating in students the ABC’s oflaw, training their legal thinking models and capacities, and helping themestablish the right legal world view and values.
The teachingmode will feature four integrations, i.e., integration of in-class teaching andseminars, integration of theories and practice, integration of traditional andmodern teaching methods, and integration of normalized and customized teaching.
The teachingof Jurisprudence course will highlight the following characteristics: advocatequestion-oriented thinking, emphasize gradual progress in knowledgeadvancement, stress humanity, hold the ground of legal science, and open up thechannels within and without legal science subjects so as to expand studentshorizons.
