Courseintroduction: Administrative Law and Administrative Procedural Law is one ofthe 14 essential courses recognized by the Legal Science Subjects SteeringCommittee under the Ministration of Education PRC. It is of great importance inChina’s Legal Education System. With the accelerated pace of administrativelegislation and administrative rule-of-law in China, it has gained significancegradually. Its design is centered on the structure of the administrative lawsystem in China. Aside from basic principles and theories of administrativelaw, the logical relationship among administrative organic law, administrativeactivities law, and administrative supervision and legal aid law has been takenas the parameters for course arrangement.
Students areexpected to achieve two goals after this course. First, this course will enablea deepened understanding of the basic theories of administrative laws andadministrative procedural laws. Second, it will accustom students to study, analyzeand interpret social realities with the logic and methods of administrativelaws.
Fourteaching methods will be adopted for this course: comparison of theories andtenets, comparison/analysis of positive laws, case analysis (typical andgeneral cases), and discussion of important contents.
