"Peak of the Workplace" Series: The Lecture about Employment Situation Analysis and Preparation Guidance of Civil Servant Examination was successfully held by School of Law
On the afternoon of 9 October 2019, "Peak of Workplace" Series: The Lecture about Employment Situation Analysis and Preparation Guidance of Civil Servant Examination, hosted by School of Law, CUPL and supported by Graduate Student’s Union of School of Law, CUPL was successfully held in Classroom B103, New NO.1 Building, Graduate School. This event aims to help students to know more about employment situation and improve job-hunting skills and the employment quality of our school’s students. Liu Dawei, Secretary of Law School’s CCP Committee, Chen Weihou, Director of Graduate Work Office of Law School, Liu Aixin, Dean of Beijing OFFCN Administrative Aptitude Test Research Institute attended this event.
At the beginning of his speech, Liu Dawei analyzed the employment situation and graduation destination of Law School in recent years, and introduced the characteristics of various professions. Then, he put forward some expectations for the graduates: taking an appropriate attitude to and making scientific plans of employment; dealing well with the relationship between some important factors, such as ideal and reality, pay and gain, classmates and ourselves, external causes and internal causes. At last, he introduced Law School’s comprehensive system of organization and services about employment, which is a guarantee for students' successful job seeking.
Chen Weihou introduced to students about how to know everyone’s own employment tendency and make a suitable career choice. He also shared some valuable experience in job hunting, as well as offered three suggestions: paying attention to job-hunting as early as one can; adjusting the mind and cherish every opportunity, neither wandering anxiously nor looking down on the jobs; attaching great importance to details, especially about resumes.
At the end of the event, Liu Aixin introduced the relevant situation of the civil servant examination in detail, provided guidance about registration and preparation strategies of civil servant examination. She also interacted with the students, to increase their confidence.
This event presented the employment situation and the experience of preparation for the civil servant examination to the students, which helped them open their mind of employment, clarify their employment goals, as well as improve their job-hunting skills. With the help of "Peak of Workplace" activities, students will try their best to find the right position and put themselves into the tide of employment with a targeted goal.
