School of Law Held the Meeting of 2019 Graduate Students and Teachers


On the afternoon of 6 September, the meeting of 2019 freshmen and teachers was held in the Academic Report Hall of Graduate School of CUPL. Jiao Hongchang, Dean of School of Law, Chen Weihou, Director of Graduate Work Office, and Wang Jiaqi, teacher of Graduate Work Office, and supervisor representatives of various majors attended this meeting. Ms. Xue Xiaojian, Vice Dean of School of Law, hosted the meeting.


In the address of supervisor representatives of various majors, they introduced the overview of different law apartments, including respective training mode, faculty, and research direction. Wang Xinyu, supervisor representative of jurisprudence, Xie Jing, supervisor representative of legal history, Wang Chengdong, supervisor representative of administrative law, Li Qiang, supervisor representative of military law, Wang Xiaoping, supervisor representative of sports law, Wang Chunlei, supervisor representative of education law, and Wang Qingbin, supervisor representative of health law, respectively raised their expectations for students, and hoped that they could study hard on campus, do academic accumulation step by step, and improve writing skills. Supervisor representatives also emphasized that students should do research with the thinking and by way of rule of law and that they should care about our country’s current issues more often, study hard, and make achievements.

Mr. Jiao Hongchang made a summary speech. He first emphasized the importance of legal practice and made clear requirements for students’ internships. Then he put forward hopes for students to lead a full life as graduates. In the end, he told students to firmly believe that the future of China’s rule of law is prosperous.

The successful holding of the meeting enhanced the freshmen's understanding of School of Law and provided direction for learning lives of graduates. It was hoped that the students can be down to the earth, full of ambition, and set sail at the beginning of new life.
